To help Rural Capital Area Employers get answers for their immediate business services and employment law questions amid coronavirus (COVID19) concerns, we hosted a Virtual Town Hall for local employers.
The event featured TWC Commissioner Representing Employers, Aaron Demerson and his team, WSRCA CEO, Paul Fletcher, TWC Employment Legal Counsel, Tommy Simmons, as well as our former WSRCA Board Member, Adriana Cruz, Executive Director of the Economic Development and Tourism Division in the Office of the Governor, and her team.
The COVID-19 pandemic is requiring Rural Capital Area businesses and employers to navigate uncharted waters and respond to fast-changing conditions. To ensure you have access to the latest local, state and federal resources available, we're maintaining an employer resources page on our website. COVID-19 represents a sudden and dramatic shock to our local economy. The virus’ rapid spread understandably left many of our region’s businesses little time to prepare a necessary response. Our Business Solutions Team can help you to navigate the layoff aversion resources available including, Shared Work; Incumbent Worker Training; the Paycheck Protection Program; Emergency Economic Injury Grant; Small Business Debt Relief Program; as well as localized resources that have been created and are in development at the city and county levels.
WSRCA can also assist with customized proactive outplacement services at no cost.
