Team,
As the holiday season is upon us, I would like to take this opportunity to extend warm wishes to each and every one of you. I hope you all have a joyful and relaxing holiday season surrounded by loved ones.
I would also like to remind you that during the weeks of December 18 and 25, we will be allowing for “Friday casual” dress code for those working those two weeks. This is a small way to show our appreciation for your hard work and dedication throughout the year.
Thank you for all that you do, and happy holidays!

Tyler Water Utilities has partnered with KSA Engineers, as part of a national initiative by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, to inventory the types of materials of all customers' water service lines in the City's distribution system by Oct. 16, 2024. The inventory is an important step in protecting public health and minimizing the risk of lead entering your drinking water from service pipes and fixtures in your home. Be sure to fill out the survey yourself and remind others to do as well!
Have you listened to our Roses & Weeds podcast?
In this episode of Roses & Weeds, Utilities Director Kate Dietz and Tyler Water Utilities Project Engineer Jacob Yanker discuss the City of Tyler's Lead Service Line Inventory campaign. They explain the importance of identifying and replacing lead service lines to continue ensuring safe drinking water for the community. They also dive into the challenges and successes of the campaign, as well as the potential impact on future water infrastructure policies. Overall, it's an informative and thought-provoking conversation about the intersection of public health and municipal governance.
