 TRINITY METRO BUILDS ON TEXRAIL SUCCESS WITH FLEET EXPANSION
Trinity Metro is taking bold steps to meet the growing demand for its highly successful TEXRail service. With over 3 million riders since its launch in December 2019, TEXRail continues to grow as a critical transportation option for North Texas. To support this success and prepare for the future, Trinity Metro has announced the addition of four new Stadler DMU FLIRT vehicles to its fleet, with delivery expected in 2027.
The fleet expansion comes as Trinity Metro increases midday train service to 30-mi nute intervals, doubling frequency and enhancing convenience for riders. This forward-looking investment ensures that Trinity Metro’s TEXRail is ready to serve the needs of Tarrant County’s residents and visitors for years to come.
The new trains will complement the original TEXRail FLIRT fleet, which was assembled under the Buy America Act and put into service in 2019. Since then, Trinity Metro TEXRail has become a trusted transportation option for trips to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, events and commuting, with several trains already surpassing 500,000 miles of reliable service.

 RIDE TRE WITH SANTA TO THE HOLIDAY PARADE, DEC. 7
Trinity Railway Express (TRE) is delighted to invite all of our North Texas residents to join us on Saturday, Dec. 7, for a train ride with Santa and Mrs. Claus to the 2024 Dallas Holiday Parade.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will join TRE riders for the special holiday ride to this year’s festivities. Each train ride will end at EBJ Union Station with live musical performances and promotional giveaways, as well as photo opportunities with the Claus family.
TRE will offer two opportunities to ride to the parade this year. With stops at each of the 10 stations between Fort Worth and Dallas, we invite everyone to join us for a fun and festive ride with plenty of time to spare to enjoy the parade.

Let Trinity Metro TEXRail take you and your loved ones to Grapevine as the area kicks off its celebration of the holiday season! Rediscover the magic of Christmas as Downtown Grapevine is illuminated during the annual Carol of Lights. Look forward to a magical street lighting experience that marks the start of Grapevine's Christmas Capital of Texas!
This year, visitors can explore up and down Historic Main Street and enjoy multiple stages with engaging performances and zoned activity areas featuring incredible holiday bounce houses and more.
 ALL-NEW TRINITY METRO BIKES, LAUNCHING IN 2025
Trinity Metro’s bike sharing team has been hard at work with plans to roll out a new service in early 2025. Over the last few weeks, the team has been removing bike stations and phasing out Fort Worth Bike Sharing, which has now ceased operations.
In early 2025, Trinity Metro will introduce a new fleet of bicycles and docking stations for Trinity Metro Bikes. To meet customer needs, 90% of the fleet will be electric bikes while the other 10% will be traditional bikes that fitness-minded riders will enjoy.
