What’s New in Performance Reporting

A–F Accountability

The deadline for districts to submit corrections for 2019–20 annual graduates plus 2019–20 non-graduating 12th graders via the College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) Verifier is next Friday, July 16.

If the district does not find any discrepancies or does not wish to request changes, no action is required.

If discrepancies are found, districts must request changes with supporting documentation via the CCMR Verifier within the TEA Login (TEAL) Accountability application.

Please note, CCMR indicators determined by TSDS PEIMS submissions are not eligible for corrections, and therefore, are not shown. For more information, please view our one-pager.

Additionally, districts SHOULD NOT submit industry-based certification (IBC) documentation through the level I and level II certificates field; IBCs are not eligible for correction. Please see Understanding Credentials in Texas: Certificates and Certifications to learn more about the differences between certificates, certifications, licenses, and more.

If you have any questions, please contact us at (512) 463-9704 or performance.reporting@tea.texas.gov.

Local Accountability System

The Local Accountability Guide and Frequently Asked Questions provide information about plan requirement and example components. They can both be found on the local accountability webpage.

Districts wishing to learn more about the local accountability system and how to develop a district local accountability plan can participate in a 45-minute overview webinar with time for Q & A.

Registration links are available for upcoming webinar dates in July. The webinar schedule through August 2021 is available here.

Assessment Scoring and Reporting

Assessment Management System Timelines

As a part of the contract transition, ETS will be providing all necessary State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®), STAAR Alternate 2, Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS), and TELPAS Alternate score data to CAI. Any districts that would like to retain copies of their individual district results for STAAR should download those results from the Reports > Results in the Assessment Management System prior to August 31, 2021.

District correction requests, score code and language changes, rescores, resolutions, and any scoring investigations for STAAR must be submitted to the ETS Support Center by July 31, 2021, to be updated and reflected in the ETS Assessment Management System and the Family Portal prior to the change in vendors. District correction requests include changes to student identification information, Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) ID, and County-District-Campus codes.

On-Demand Data Files

On-demand data files for online testers for the June 2021 administration will be available in the Assessment Management System by June 29, 2021, for Algebra I, Biology, and U.S. History; and July 20, 2021, for English I and English II.

On-demand data files for paper testers for the June 2021 administration will be available in the Assessment Management System by July 13, 2021, for Algebra I, Biology, and U.S. History; and July 20, 2021, for English I and English II.

For questions or help with accessing and interpreting STAAR results, districts and parents can email assessment.reporting@tea.texas.gov or call (512) 463-9704.

This Week’s FAQ

When will we know how Senate Bill (SB) 1365 will impact 2021 campus ratings?

At this time, final decisions have not yet been made on how the Student Achievement and School Progress: Relative Performance domains will be evaluated for eligible campuses that opt in for the 2021 alternative evaluation. As established in the bill, only those campuses that meet a 95 percent participation rate for the all students group for all subjects combined in the 2020–21 school year and to which the most recent overall performance rating assigned, other than a rating of Not Rated, is a D or F are eligible for the alternative evaluation. More information on the alternative evaluation methodology and any action needed from districts will be provided in late summer.
