2017-2018 Gun Free Schools District and 
Campus Reports

TEA is announcing the availability of the 2017-2018 Gun Free Schools District and Campus Reports authorized under Public Law (P.L.) 114-95, Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) of 1965, as amended by the Every Students Succeeds Act (ESSA), Title VIII, Part F, Subpart 4, Section 8561, Gun Possession.  The reports are available on eGrants under the 2017-2018 ESSA Consolidated Federal Grant Application.

Description

ESSA requires each LEA requesting funds from the state to provide student expulsion data for those who have brought or have possessed a firearm at a school.

Reporting Deadline

Reports must be submitted via eGrants by June 28, 2018, for LEAs to receive a Notice of Grant Award (NOGA).
