Title I, Part A Supplement, Not Supplant Methodology due December 10, 2017

As the due date to Title I, Part A approaches, please remember that TEA has a helpful web site that provides multiple examples for you: https://tea.texas.gov/grants/schoolwidefundingandaccounting1/.  The web page is very long, please scroll all the way through to view all the examples.

While the web pages referenced above that contain the supplemental funds test examples are old schoolwide program guidance pages, the examples are still applicable for the new supplement, not supplant methodology requirement.

The supplement, not supplant methodology due December 10 applies to all Title I, Part A campuses in the LEA (both schoolwide and/or targeted assistance programs).

Also, we have received clarification of the correct due date (December 10, not December 1) and that a straight per-pupil formula or a weighted per-pupil formula of state and local funds to campuses is the simplest and most common Title I Supplement, Not Supplant methodology.  The supplemental funds test examples on the TEA web pages are much more detailed examples of a possible supplement, not supplant methodology.

Single campus LEAs distribute all state and local funds to the one campus so there is no methodology needed; the single campus would already receive the full amount of state and local funds before the Title I funds are allocated to the campus.
