2016-2017 NCLB Consolidated Final Amounts including 2015-2016 Carryover

This message communicates information concerning the upcoming 2016-2017 No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Consolidated final amounts including carryover amount adjustments by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to applicable local educational agency (LEA) and education service center (ESC) grant applications.

Final Amounts including 2015-2016 Carryover

Final amounts for programs in the 2016-2017 NCLB Consolidated Federal Grant Application are now available on the Grants Administration Division Federal Entitlements web page.

TEA staff will initiate budget adjustments and will adjust the largest budgeted class/object code to incorporate the final amounts and any carryover amounts.  The LEA’s approved budget, reflected on Schedule BS6001—Program Budget Summary of the 2016-2017 NCLB Consolidated Federal Grant Application for each respective program, will be the combination of the LEA’s current year final amount and prior year carryover amount, if applicable.

LEAs will start to receive email notifications of revisions to program budgets with their revised Notice of Grant Award (NOGA) attached to that email.  Until those email notifications and attachments are distributed, TEA requests that LEAs not submit any amendments to claim 2016-2017 NCLB Consolidated Federal Grant Application final amount funding.  Amendments for any other changes to the application may be submitted at any time.

Amendments

If necessary, once the LEA has received the email notification of the revisions to the program budget, an LEA may then file an amendment to revise the budget entered by TEA staff.  Please refer to the When to Amend the Application on the Administering a Grant page of the TEA website to determine if an amendment is necessary.

The deadline to submit amendments is 5:00 p.m. Central Time, June 2, 2017.
