The purpose of this bulletin is to alert LEAs to important information from the Division of Federal Fiscal Compliance and Reporting.

On July 29, 2016, the Division of Federal Fiscal Compliance and Reporting posted the following TTAA letters to the TEA Correspondence page. The first letter describes an upcoming reporting requirement applicable to LEAs that receive IDEA‑B grant funding. The second provides information regarding validations of fiscal data reported by LEAs for federal grants.

Please ensure that applicable staff read and take action on these letters.

Upcoming School Health and Related Services (SHARS) Reporting Requirement

This TTAA letter reminds LEAs that received IDEA-B grant funding in the 2015-2016 school year that they must complete the SHARS Reimbursement Report form.

The form will become available in GFFC Reports and Data Collections by mid-September 2016 and is due in GFFC by October 31, 2016.

Validations of Fiscal Data Reported by LEAs for Federal Grants

This TTAA letter informs LEAs of several random data validations that the Division of Federal Fiscal Compliance and Reporting will conduct during the 2016-2017 school year. The letter contains a list of data self-reported by LEAs that is subject to validation and includes a timeline of when the TEA data validations will occur.
