Revisions to Final Amounts for the 2015–2016 IDEA-B Formula Program

TEA received a revised grant award from the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) which requires TEA to recalculate final amounts for the 2015-2016 IDEA-B Formula program.

Eligible LEAs will receive an adjusted final amount for the IDEA-B Formula program.  Revised final amounts for the 2015-2016 IDEA-B Formula grant are available on the Entitlements, Division of Grants Administration web page.

Method of Revision

TEA staff will adjust the largest class/object code to account for the change in the maximum entitlement amount.

Affected LEAs will receive an email notification of the changes TEA staff have made to their program budget. The revised Notice of Grant Award (NOGA) will be attached to that email.  Until those email notifications and attachments are distributed, TEA requests that LEAs not submit any amendments to claim final amounts to the 2015-2016 Special Education Consolidated Grant Application.

Amendments

If necessary, once the LEA has received the email notification of the revisions to the program budget, an LEA may then file an amendment to revise the budget entered by TEA staff.  Please refer to the When to Amend the Application on the Administering a Grant page of the TEA website to determine if an amendment is necessary.

The deadline to submit amendments is 5:00 p.m. Central Time, June 17, 2016.
