Take Care of Texas is celebrating Black History Month by remembering Black Americans who have made a lasting impact on the State of Texas.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality honors Congressman Mickey Leland’s legacy with the Mickey Leland Environmental Internship Program for undergraduate and graduate students. The 2021 MLEIP is open now through February 28, 2021.

Illegal Dumping (Guest Post)

Operation Tired Drop KTB Blog

We love partnering with organizations that promote ways to Take Care of Texas!  Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB) is featuring a Take Care of Texas blog article that highlights illegal dumping.

We interviewed Tanya Gray, Executive Director of Keep Temple Beautiful about their Operation Dumpster Drop—a tremendous community success! This program helps prevent unauthorized dump sites by providing dumpsters where the public can drop hard-to-dispose items.
