Prepare for Texas Droughts

Texas Drought Map

As we leave 2020 and enter 2021, nearly the entire state is experiencing drought conditions.

There have been several harsh droughts in Texas’ history; notably, the seven-year drought of the 1950s, and the major drought beginning in 2010 and lasting through 2015. Learn more on TCEQ's Drought Response webpage.

Think about the products you use every day. Do many of them contain plastic? Each stage of plastic's life cycle—from raw materials to manufacturing to disposal—requires resources like energy and water. By purchasing less plastic, you'll help save these precious materials.
