In 2019, the Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board approved rules that increase fees in order to improve customer service and provide a higher level of support for license holders. As the second phase of the approved rules, effective January 1, 2022, certain initial application and renewal fees are increasing.
The application and renewal fees will increase by:
- $100 for Certified General Appraiser License
- $75 for Certified Residential Appraiser License
- $55 for Licensed Residential Appraiser License
Those who plan to apply for a license, upgrade or are within their renewal period can avoid increased fees by submitting a complete application by January 1, 2022. The current fees can be found on the TALCB fee schedule. Fee changes can be found in the TALCB rules.
