NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Nueces County Commissioners Court is considering one (1) appointment to fill an unexpired term through April, 2022 to the South Texas Water Authority Board of Directors.

The regional water supplier for Western Nueces County and central Kleberg County, the South Texas Water Authority is committed to working with governmental entities, Water Supply Corporations, industry, and commerce to maintain an available high quality, dependable and affordable water supply for current and future needs.

This Board was created pursuant to Section 4(a) and (b), Chapter 436, Article XVI, Section 59, Acts of the 66th Legislature Regular Session, 1979.

Composition: The Board is composed of nine directors, five appointed by the Commissioners Court of Kleberg County and four appointed by the Commissioners Court of Nueces County. Board members serve two year terms. Appointments are needed to fill Place 4 (representing the city of Bishop); and Place 6 (representing the city of Driscoll).Applicants must reside within the city limits of Bishop and Driscoll, respectively. Applicants may not hold any other public office or be an officer or employee of South Texas Water Authority.

Interested and qualified citizens of Nueces County are invited to submit a board application with attached resume of qualifications. Current members do not need to fill out the application. Incumbents need only to submit a letter of interest.
