The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) is the region’s largest public transit provider, offering safe, reliable and affordable transportation services about 370,000 times per day. Besides operating more than 1,200 buses, METRO is currently expanding its 13-mile Red Line with two new lines under construction. METRO’s services also include: Star Vanpool, METROLift, HOV lanes, HOT lanes, Bikes-on-Buses/Trains program, Park & Ride, and road improvement projects. METRO Holiday Transit Schedule

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, METRO will operate on the following schedule:

 WEDNESDAY, NOV. 26, 2014

  • Local bus routes operate a regular weekday schedule.
  • Park & Ride routes operate additional trips from Downtown as follows:

          Service every 15 minutes:

  • 209 Kuykendahl/Spring (12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.)
  • 219 Cypress/Northwest Station/West Little York (12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.) Note - Route serves Cypress Park & Ride this day only  
  • 229 Grand Parkway/Kingsland/Addicks (12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.) Note - Route serves Grand Parkway Park & Ride for this day only
  • 249 Monroe/Fuqua/Bay Area (Noon to 3 p.m.)
  • 259 Kingwood/Townsen/Eastex (12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.)
  • 269 Westwood/West Bellfort (Noon to 3 p.m.)

         Service every 30 minutes:

  • 236 Maxey Road/Baytown (Noon to 3 p.m.)
  • 274 Westchase/Gessner (Noon to 3 p.m.) 
  • Park & Ride routes NOT listed above will operate regular p.m. service starting at 3 p.m. Please check your route’s schedule for correct times.
  • METRORail service will operate on a regular weekday schedule.

THURSDAY, NOV. 27 (THANKSGIVING DAY)

  • Park & Ride WILL NOT operate on this day.
  • Local bus routes to operate on a Sunday schedule.
  • METRORail service to operate on a Sunday schedule.

FRIDAY, NOV. 28

  •  Local bus service to operate on a Saturday schedule: 
  • The following routes will operate on a weekday schedule: 34 Montrose Crosstown, 59 Aldine Mail Crosstown, 64 Lincoln City Circulator, 67 Dairy Ashford Crosstown, 70 Memorial, 75 Eldridge Crosstown and 108 Veterans Memorial Limited.
  • Park & Ride routes WILL NOT operate on this day.
  • METRORail service to operate on a Saturday schedule.
  •  

SATURDAY, NOV. 29, and SUNDAY, NOV. 30

  • Park & Ride routes WILL NOT operate on these days.
  • Local bus service to operate regular weekend schedules.
  • METRORail service will operate regular weekend schedules.
