The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) is the region’s largest public transit provider, offering safe, reliable and affordable transportation services about 370,000 times per day. METRO POLICE TO RECOGNIZE NEW CHIEF & OTHER TOP LEADERS

METRO Police will host a promotional ceremony for new Police Chief Vera Bumpers - the first female and first African-American to hold the top rank - as well as other senior level leaders within the department.

METRO Police will also recognize the promotions of Capt. Felix Vara and Capt. Darrin Lewis; Lt. Timothy McClelland, and Sgt. Yessenia DeLeon.
