All Aboard for a Taste of Houston Along the Red Line

METRO & Houston Greeters Partner for Rails to Restaurants Progressive Dinner

rails to restaurant

Houston is known for its good eats. And, a good place to sample some of the savory scene is along METRO's Red Line.

Houston Greeters and METRO are partnering once again for a progressive dinner outing, Rails to Restaurants. The community event is designed to celebrate Houston's Citizenship Month while offering a tasty packaged night out on Main Street: appetizers, drinks, desserts and coffee, and entertainment.

The number of establishments participating along the rail line this year has doubled for the signature event; click here to view a list. The party kicks off with a welcoming ceremony at the UH-Downtown South Deck and then heads south along the Red Line.

  • WHAT: Rails to Restaurant progressive dinner
  • WHEN: Monday, Nov. 17, 6-9 p.m (Registration check-in from 6-7 p.m.)
  • WHERE: Event begins at University of Houston-Downtown South Deck

METRO Ambassadors will be out assisting patrons at the various participating venues. Houston Greeters will also be providing "guided greets" or tours for the evening - an option one can elect when registering for the event.

The event cost $20 and includes a METRO Day Pass. Click here to purchase tickets. For more information on the event, contact Houston Greeters at info@houstongreeters.org or call 713-473-3837.
