The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) is the region’s largest public transit provider, offering safe, reliable and affordable transportation services about 370,000 times per day. Besides operating more than 1,200 buses, METRO is currently expanding its 13-mile Red Line with two new lines under construction. METRO Partners with HCC Northline Campus to Offer New Parking

METRO's new Red/North Line light rail will be easier to access come Friday thanks to new parking on the Houston Community College Northeast - Northline Campus (HCC Northline). Fifty parking spaces will be available to METRORail customers thanks to the leadership of HCC.

METRO, in partnership with HCC Northline, welcomes riders to the grand opening of METRO designated parking Friday, Aug. 8, 2014 8:30 a.m.

Friday's grand opening will showcase the METRO-designated parking areas located on the HCC Northline Campus and adjacent to the METRORail Northline Transit Center.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony includes METRO Board Members Jim Robinson and Allen Watson, as well as METRO President & CEO Tom Lambert. HCC will have Board Trustee Zeph Capo, Chancellor Dr. Cesar Maldonado and Northeast Campus President Dr. Margaret Ford Fisher on hand for the celebration. Congressman Gene Green, who represents the 29th District will also attend the ceremony.
