The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) is the region’s largest public transit provider, offering safe, reliable and affordable transportation services about 370,000 times per day. Partial Weekend METRORail Shutdown

A portion of the Red Line will be closed as METRO rail expansion work continues.

No METRORail service will be available between the Downtown Transit Center and the Northline Transit Center. The closure begins at 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 25, until normal service resumes at 4:30 a.m. Monday, April 28.

METRO will operate "700 Rail Shuttle" buses every 10 minutes during regular rail service hours.
