New online tool gives riders greater flexibility and more choices
Houston METRO’s new mobile-friendly Trip Planner will give riders greater ability to customize their trip to match their needs.
The new website launches Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021 and can be accessed on computer or smartphone by visiting www.RideMETRO.org.

Riders begin their journey by providing their start location and their destination, and the Trip Planner will do the rest.
The Trip Planner makes riding METRO easier than ever, even if the rider’s journey begins outside of the Authority’s service area.
New features include:
- Multiple trip options with a choice of departure times and routes
- Arrival time predictions and service alerts
- Ability to include personal vehicles and Park & Rides into your route
- Ability to incorporate Houston Bcycle (bike share program) into your route
- A trip fare calculator
After you’ve planned your trip, you can take it with you on your phone, easily share it with others or print it.
