Park. Ride. Relax.
Conroe Commuters Get New Service
Sitting in traffic for more than two hours daily is not a laughing matter. Beginning Monday, April 1, Conroe area commuters have a new option, and that's no joke. The City of Conroe will offer the 291 Conroe Park & Ride. The route will start in the Conroe Park & Ride lot along I-45 just north of FM 2854 and make stops in downtown Houston, at the TMC Transit Center and at the V.A. Hospital. The bus route, operated by METRO, will provide three inbound trips every morning and three return trips every evening during peak commute hours, Monday through Friday.
Customers can pay the $8 one-way fare with cash or a METRO Q Fare Card . METRO staff will be at the Conroe Park & Ride lot on April 1 and April 2 to assist passengers and issue fare cards. They can also be purchased online, at the METRO RideStore or at participating retailers.
This service is being completely funded by the City of Conroe and the Houston-Galveston Area Council as part of the METRO Board approved process that allows cities outside the METRO service area to contract with the Authority to provide their citizens additional transit options.
