Enjoy the Spring Break Fun and Save with METRO
From the Houston Zoo and nearby museums to RodeoHouston, METRO offers direct access to some of the Houston area's most popular spring break destinations. Families can avoid traffic and parking hassles by taking a bus or riding METRORail.
Tom Lambert, METRO's president & CEO, joined Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner and others to share mobility plans and tips to keep everyone moving during the busy week.
"In addition to METRORail, our frequent bus network, with more than 22 high frequency routes, serves the community seven days a week with stops every 15 minutes or less," said Lambert.
Mapping out a route can be done easily using METRO's trip planner which is available on the website or the METROTrip App. Riders can purchase a day pass for $3 or pay $1.25 one-way. Children five and under ride free.
The savings continue for METRO riders with Rider Rewards. The customer appreciation program allows holders of a METRO fare item to benefit from discounts at various restaurants, retailers and attractions. Click here or the interactive map below to view participating merchants.
