Give Your Feedback on Moving Forward Draft Plan
The conversation about METRONext's draft regional transit plan continues. Much of the feedback received so far has come at a series of public meetings held across the region since late January. The final two meetings in this round of public input are scheduled for tonight, Tuesday, Feb. 12 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.at the DoubleTree Houston Hobby Airport and tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 13 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the Junior League of Houston.
As you can see in this short video, your neighbors are helping to develop the transit plan for the future.
The $7.5 billion Moving Forward Plan is designed to move more people, more places and improve speed and reliability. It has more than 40 mobility projects for 2040 and beyond. The region's population is expect to nearly double in that time.
Even though the scheduled meetings are wrapping up, METRO is continuing the conversation with communities across the region. Community and neighborhood groups are welcome to invite METRO representatives to meet with their organizations by visiting www.metronext.org. Additionally, details about the draft plan and a opportunity to comment can found on the website.
