Alert #10: METRO HOV/HOT Express Lanes Remain Closed for Afternoon Commute

METRO operates the following HOV/HOT Express lanes:   I-45 North (North Freeway) I-45 South (Gulf Freeway) US 59 North (Eastex Freeway) US 59 South (Southwest Freeway) US 290 West (Northwest Freeway)

METRO HOV/HOT lanes will remain closed through the afternoon and evening commute due to dangerous, icy road conditions in some elevated locations.  Crews will continue to assess and treat the roadways and attempt to re-open the lanes Friday morning.  METRO Park & Ride patrons should expect some detours and delays on their commute home. 

METRORail lines are operating.  Local bus and METROLift paratransit services are running with occasional delays as bus operators exercise extreme caution.

Riders are encouraged to monitor METRO's Twitter and Facebook pages for timely information regarding transit. METRO also offers real-time information through its service alerts system.
