Alert #7: METRO Restores More Bus Routes, Full METRORail Red Line and METROLift Service

METRO has restored transit service to about 20 additional local bus routes. The routes below are currently in operation.

METRORail Red Line is fully operational. METRO is running bus shuttles along the Green and Purple Lines.

 

METRO teams are working around the clock to evaluate and restore service to all of the Authority's routes. METRO Park & Ride will resume Tuesday, Sept. 5. METRO HOV/ HOT lanes are still being evaluated for service. 

 

METROLift service returns to regular service Saturday, Sept. 2. METROLift trips should be scheduled one day in advance in the normal manner: Online or by calling 713-225-6716 or 713-225-0410.

  • Customers should be advised detours and delays are still possible. Patience is appreciated. 
  • METRO’s T.R.I.P. app may not be an accurate source of “next bus” arrival during times of schedule fluctuation.
  • Riders are asked to monitor METRO Twitter and Facebook pages for timely information regarding transit service. METRO also offers real-time information through its service alerts system
