The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) is the region’s largest public transit provider, offering safe, reliable and affordable transportation services about 370,000 times per day. Besides operating more than 1,200 buses on METRO’s network, METRORail's system includes the Red Line (Main Street and Northline), Green Line (East End) and Purple Line (Southeast). Tropical Depression Harvey has formed in the Gulf of Mexico and is expected to make landfall somewhere along the Texas Gulf Coast this week. 

METRO, along with emergency management officials, are monitoring the changing conditions.

METRO will notify customers through service alerts, Facebook, Twitter and our website of any new developments that may impact transit service. We will consider limited or suspended service depending on weather conditions.
