METRORail Improvements Prompt Bus Shuttle on Portions of Rail Lines

METRO will make track improvements along METRORail lines which will impact weekend travel. The scheduled work is necessary to ensure METRO continues to provide reliable light-rail service to customers.

On Friday, June 2, work will begin at 10 p.m. and regular rail service will resume at the start of service Monday, June 5. During these days, free bus shuttles will transport passengers between the closed segments of the following lines:

  • Red Line: Between Downtown Transit Center and Preston Stations
  • Green Line: between Theater District and Magnolia Park Station
  • Purple Line: between Theater District and EADO Stations

Signs at closed rail platforms will guide riders to nearby shuttle stops. METRO staff will also be on hand to assist riders. Please allow for extra time to complete trips. A bus shuttle map is found below.
