Work on Green and Purple Lines Moving Ahead of Schedule

Fast tracking

Late-night service, on the METRORail Green and Purple Lines, will resume tonight - two days ahead of schedule. Since last week, nightly closures were needed for track work in the downtown area.

Crews working on different segments of the line are fast-tracking the project making it possible to reopen the Green Line from the Theater District to Magnolia Park Transit stations and on the Purple Line from the Theater District to EADO stations.

Until all work is completed in the area, rail service will operate on a single track and may cause some delays. Riders who travel in that area should allow extra time between 9 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. through May 18.
