METRORail Track Work Prompts Passenger Alert

METRO will begin an improvement project on tracks along the Green and Purple Light Rail Lines this week which will impact evening travel. The scheduled welding work on the track is necessary to provide a smoother ride.

On May 10, 11 and May 14 through 18 work will begin each night at 10 p.m. and regular rail service will resume the following morning. During those late evening hours, free bus shuttles will transport passengers between the closed segments of the Green Line from the Theatre District to Magnolia Park Transit stations and on the Purple Line from the Theatre District to EADO stations.

Signs at closed rail platforms will guide riders to nearby rail shuttle stops. METRO staff will also be on hand to assist riders. Please allow for extra time to complete trips. A bus shuttle map is found below.
