Improvements Prompt I-45 North HOV/HOT Exit Ramp Closure

METRO's I-45 North HOV/HOT lane exit ramp at Shepherd will close on Friday, May 5. 

Buses and vehicles traveling north on the lane between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. may exit at the Beltway 8 wishbone ramp and detour onto the I-45 North frontage road. Drivers who need to get to Shepherd Drive and Veterans Memorial Drive, should U-turn at Aldine Bender Road onto the I-45 South frontage road. 

Beginning Monday, May 8, a new HOV/HOT exit ramp will open for traffic exiting at North Shepherd.
