Red Line Resumes Normal Service Ahead of Schedule

METRORail's Red Line returns to normal service ahead of schedule at start of service Friday, Jan. 13.  Thanks to the hard work of crews, this leaves the entire Red Line open for normal operation.

The recent closures, between Northline Transit Center and Burnett Station, were necessary to implement signal improvement work after axle counter malfunctions slowed METRORail service and increased travel time for drivers at rail crossings. Further work on the signals will continue next month.
