TRIP App's New Features Show Riders Real-Time Bus Movements

Modern. Intuitive. METRO's popular trip-planning app has undergone a complete redesign allowing riders to get the trip planning information they need more easily and quickly.

"We're really excited about these updates and new features," said METRO's President & CEO Tom Lambert. "With the new TRIP App, we're giving riders a planning tool that is fun and extremely easy to use."

One feature that promises to be popular with riders is map-based animated bus movement. With a tap of the finger, users can see the location of buses along their particular route in real-time.

In addition, METRO's new TRIP App features:

  • a fresh user-friendly interface
  • the ability to plan a trip on one central page
  • new icons that complement and link to other METRO apps
  • enhanced ADA accessibility which allows visually-impaired patrons to plan trips using voice recognition and a screen reader.
