    Red Line Closure

A section METRORail's Red Line is scheduled for temporary service interruptions due to signal improvement work.

The partial closure will extend along the Red Line between Northline Transit Center/ HCC and Downtown Transit Center stations.   Normal rail service will be offered from the Downtown Transit Center to Fannin South.

Service interruptions begin Friday, Nov. 4 at 10:00 p.m.  Regular service resumes Monday, Nov. 7 at 4 a.m.

METRO will provide service via buses labeled "700 Shuttle" to bridge the closure and transport affected passengers. Signs at closed rail platforms will guide riders to nearby rail shuttle stops. Shuttle buses are scheduled every 10 minutes, but please allow for extra time to complete trips. METRO staff will also be on hand to assist riders during normal rail service hours. A bus bridge map can be found here.

This signal improvement work addresses axle counter malfunctions that have slowed METRORail service and increased travel time for drivers at rail crossings.
