From riding METRO to work and school or simply to explore Houston, Martina, Zach, Catherine, Fredy, and Kate all rely on the transit network for different reasons. Now those unique reasons and stories serve as the focus of a new campaign, "This Is My METRO".
"The campaign drives home why we come to work every day, to positively impact the lives of our riders," said Tom Lambert, METRO President & CEO.
"This Is My Metro" highlights our transit solutions and raises public awareness. Our riders come from every background and profession," Lambert continued.
Currently, five radio ads and one TV spot are running on Houston stations and drawing praise from across the region.
"The feedback is just incredible! We couldn't have made up some of these stories, seriously. They're just too good," said Sydney Scardino, Manager of Creative Services at METRO.
Viewers can expect to see more of the spots soon and METRO is inviting riders to submit their stories to "thisismynewmetro@ridemetro.org."

My name is Kate. I started the blog, raisedontherail.com because we bought our house near the newly extended Purple Line. As a new parent, our experience on the rail becomes an adventure for our daughter.
