10-Day Countdown to New Bus Network One Year
Anniversary
#5
Five months after welcoming feedback from customers on how to
fine-tune the more frequent service, METRO rolled out a series
of sustainable enhancements to the New Bus Network to make it
even better.
METRO added more trips, bigger buses, and adjusted routes to
improve service reliability and ease overcrowding. Enhancements included
more early morning and late night runs and additional weekend service.
METRO understands that optimizing the New Bus Network's
performance is an ongoing process. The launch of the New Bus Network was
the beginning of a five-year plan to improve the way the region moves.
METRO's board and service
planners continue to listen to rider input. The Manchester community in
Southeast Houston worked with METRO's planners and designed a new pilot route
to service their community. Click here to watch a video where new Board Chair Carrin Patman explains the 38 Manchester pilot program.
METRO's Marketing team informed the public of enhancements with these type of messages.
