METRO PAYS TRIBUTE TO OUR HEROES ON VETERANS DAY

METRO salutes veterans and active military personnel by waiving fares on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015.

The free rides apply to METRO's local bus, METRORail, METROLift, and Park & Ride.  Patrons simply have to let fare inspectors or operators know they are veterans or active-duty members of the armed forces.

Service members and others traveling to the City of Houston's Annual "Houston Salutes American Heroes" Veterans Day Celebrations can use METRO's Rider Tools to plan their trip.

To learn more about the city's initiative to provide better resources to our returning veterans visit the Veterans Affairs Office.
