Keeping Up with Influenza Vaccinations - “What’s New?”

As Texas begins the 2022-2023 influenza (flu) season, it is increasingly important to prepare adequately to protect our communities against influenza. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends annual influenza vaccination for everyone 6 months of age or older, with few exceptions. More here.

TVFC Administration Fee Update

A memo was sent to TVFC providers on August 31, 2021 regarding an update to the TVFC administration fee. Effective September 1, 2022, the maximum administration fee TVFC Program providers may charge for TVFC-eligible children is $13.75 per dose. More information here.

Saving lives is the job of a first responder. It is important that they stay healthy and safe – and that means being immunized. First responders are in contact with many people throughout their communities and are at risk for contracting and transmitting vaccine-preventable diseases (VPDs), including influenza (flu).
