ImmTrac2/VAOS Notice – A New Way to Sign In!

The Department of State Health Services (DSHS) is implementing a new way for users to sign into multiple immunization related applications using a single User ID. This new feature is referred to as Single-Sign-On (SSO) and will provide access to ImmTrac2, the Immunization Program Portal (Syntropi), and the Vaccine Allocation and Ordering System (VAOS). Do You Know What a Health Care Sharing Ministry (HCSM) Is? How Does It Affect VFC Eligibility?

Recently, providers in Texas have started to see children enrolled in Health Care Sharing Ministries otherwise known as HCSMs. Learn more about what HCSMs are and see how they affect TVFC eligibility status.

Migration To VAOS Has Been Delayed

As previously announced, due to a high volume of re-enrollment requests and technical difficulties, we are postponing the retirement of EVI and transition to VAOS until further notice. With this recent update, we will postpone the VAOS training webinar series for now. We will continue to communicate a new timeline with key updates around training webinars and the transition to VAOS as they become available. Read more here.

Alchemer Official Start Date for 2022-2023 Season

Texas Vaccines for Children (TVFC) providers can officially begin placing orders for the 2022-2023 Influenza season on January 10, 2022.

During this season the survey instructions, survey link and password will come from Alchemer (formerly Survey Gizmo). Keep in mind that orders placed at this time will be delivered in the fall of 2022.

The deadline for completing the survey is Monday, January 24, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. CST.

Request for Applications: Texas Vaccine Outreach and Education Grant Program – Round 2 Funding

In partnership with the Texas A&M Health Sciences Center, the Texas Department of State Health Services is pleased to announce the opening of a second round of funding for the Texas Vaccine Outreach and Education Grant Program.

The purpose of this second round of funding is to fund projects lasting 12 months that ensure greater access and knowledge of COVID-19 vaccines through education and outreach to populations disproportionately affected by COVID-19. DSHS encourages community-based organizations, statewide organizations, and/or academic institutions who have strong, direct relationships with the populations they serve to apply for funding

The Department of State Health Services is currently developing an application that will allow the general public to access their digital COVID vaccination record through a web-based portal. Launch date for the application is set for early 2022. Additional information will be made available in the coming weeks.
