When is a Dose Considered as Wastage?
See the Wastage Reporting Table in the CDC’s Identification, Disposal, and Reporting of COVID-19 Vaccine Wastage document to determine when to report a dose as wasted.
Wastage does not negatively impact a provider but is simply a means for accounting for inventory. Please remember that if COVID-19 vaccines are wasted, providers must report the waste in VAOS and dispose of the vaccines properly. Do not send wasted doses back to DSHS.
Expert Tip: New DocuSign Status Pane in VAOS
Remember that transfer requests are now time sensitive. If the CDC Redistribution Agreement form (signed by your CMO and CEO in DocuSign) is not completed within two weeks (14 days), your transfer request will be denied. You can now monitor the status of your CDC Redistribution Agreement form in VAOS under the DocuSign Status pane. Here, you will be able to see who has completed the DocuSign form and who still needs to sign/submit it.
