Keep up the great work!

Thanks to all health care providers and local health entities who are dedicated to protecting Texans through the COVID-19 vaccine management program. We have administered more than 13 million COVID-19 vaccine doses in Texas over the last three and half months. While the number of doses of Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines increased slightly for the week of April 11, the doses of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine is drastically less than this week, so the overall number of doses we have to allocate for next week is much lower. Join us in the webinars for the latest information.

Spotlight: Patient Safety Checklist

Did you know there is a Patient Safety Checklist for Vaccination Clinics Held at Satellite, Temporary, or Off-Site Locations? This assessment tool can be used to help clinic coordinators/supervisors prepare for COVID-19 vaccination clinics held at satellite, temporary, or off-site locations. The checklist can be found on the Guidance for Planning Vaccination Clinics webpage.

Allotted Janssen Vaccine Safe for Use

The Johnson & Johnson vaccine available in Texas is safe and effective. Providers should administer Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines during the week received. Avoid the practice of reserving vaccines for future distribution. It is important that all vaccines are given as soon as possible and reported within 24 hours to the Texas Immunization Registry, known as ImmTrac2.
