Executive Order GA-34 & Vaccines

You are probably aware that Governor Abbott issued executive order GA-34 yesterday, March 2nd, regarding the opening of Texas in response to the COVID-19 disaster.  The executive order becomes effective on March 10, 2021. 

Additionally, you may have also heard that U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has issued a directive to vaccine providers to make COVID-19 vaccines available to licensed child care providers.

We realize that child care operations may have many questions about how the executive order impacts protocols you currently have in place, the emergency rules, which are still in effect, and the vaccine directive.

Child Care Regulation is actively working to gather answers to your questions and will send out a communication with additional information as soon as possible.
