Gov. Rick Perry has appointed six members to the Unclaimed Mineral Proceeds Commission for terms to expire June 1, 2015. Pursuant to House Bill 724 of the 83rd Regular Legislative Session, the commission studies and provides recommendations to the Legislature regarding the distribution of mineral proceeds derived from an original land grant, owned by a descendant of an original grantee, unclaimed and presumed abandoned, and delivered to the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.
