Cook Children's Medical Center
Fort Worth Police Officers Deliver Beary Big Smiles
Fort Worth Police Officers Association (FWPOA) visited Cook Children's Medical Center on Wednesday December 10, 2025, greeting families and bringing a piece of holiday magic to patients.
Through the FWPOA's nonprofit Cops for Kids, 700 teddy bears were donated and distributed to patients at the medical center. Each teddy bear was prepared with extra care, dressed by FWPOA officers and volunteers, and made at Cook Children's Build-A-Bear workshop.

Target, Walmart and Fort Worth Police Bring Joy to Local Families
Target, Walmart and the Fort Worth Police Department came together this season to host not one, but three heartwarming Helpers and Heroes events. The excitement was contagious as officers, joined by McGruff the Crime Dog, welcomed students and their families with smiles, laughter, and plenty of holiday cheer. Once everyone had arrived, officers teamed up with families for a fun-filled shopping spree through the aisles of Target and Walmart helping children choose gifts and holiday surprises.
The stores buzzed with happiness as laughter mixed with the sounds of holiday music. For many families, the event brought more than just gifts—it created special memories and a sense of belonging within the community. The kindness, connection, and joy shared that day truly captured the spirit of the season and reminded everyone how powerful it can be when a community comes together to care for one another.

Snowball Express
On December 13, 2025, American Airlines and the Gary Sinise Foundation once again joined forces to host the annual Snowball Express, a heartfelt tribute to the families of first responders who lost their lives in the line of duty. Law enforcement officers from Arlington, Dallas, DFW Airport Police, and Grapevine came together to support the event, with the Fort Worth Police Department's Pipe and Drum Corps leading the moving procession.
Six charter flights departed from American Airlines hubs across the country, carrying families to Orlando, Florida, for an unforgettable weekend at Walt Disney World. The event is made possible each year by more than a thousand dedicated volunteers, including pilots and flight attendants who eagerly give their time—many waiting years for the chance to participate. The Snowball Express continues to bring comfort, connection, and joy to families who have given so much.

Fort Worth Civic Orchestra Teddy Bear Christmas
Since 2002, the Fort Worth Civic Orchestra’s annual holiday concert has been about more than music—it’s been about giving back. Each year, concert guests are invited to bring a stuffed animal to donate to the Fort Worth Police Department. Officers keep these cuddly toys in their patrol cars to comfort children they meet during difficult or traumatic situations. Thanks to the incredible generosity of concertgoers, donations have grown so abundant that the Police Department now partners with Alliance for Children to ensure every extra stuffed animal finds its way to a child who could use a little extra comfort.

Vista West Cookie Crawl
The annual Vista West Cookie Crawl is a beloved neighborhood tradition that brings families and friends together for an evening of sweet holiday fun. Neighbors stroll house to house, enjoying homemade treats and festive decorations along the way. Fort Worth police officers, firefighters, and Citizens on Patrol (COP) volunteers join in the fun too—sampling classic cookies and seasonal sips while helping judge the dazzling holiday displays. Every so often, the sound of sirens signaled a quick call, but before long, they were back to enjoy more cookies and cheer. The neighborhood buzzed with laughter, wagons full of children, and parents savoring a warm drink—or a festive adult beverage. With treats ranging from chocolate chip and Cindy Lou cookies to toffee, no-bake cornflake clusters, and even a waffle surprise, everyone left full of holiday spirit and already excited for next year.
