National Night Out 2025.
National Night Out (NNO) 2025 in Fort Worth was a huge success, bringing residents together to socialize outdoors and build community bonds. The event featured neighborhood cookouts, mouthwatering chili cookoffs, bike rides, children's coloring contest, karaoke bouts, and visits from our first responders, council members, and special guests who made rounds to many neighborhood gatherings. The goal of NNO - to encourage neighborhood bonding, increase neighborhood safety, raise awareness about crime prevention was met enthusiastically by the community. Fort Worth residents, first responders, code compliance, i.e. connected in a positive and festive atmosphere, strengthening relationships that help make neighborhoods safer and more caring. NNO is part of a larger traditions expanding across Texas. Fort Worth Police Department would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all those that hosted and attended a NNO event. We look forward to seeing everyone again in October 2026!

Schools and Daycare Visits -
NPO's are often invited to partake in reading activities such as the one seen here. NPO's provide age-appropriate educational material in gun safety, bike safety, provide patrol vehicle demonstrations. These types of activities allow children to bond with officers and the uniform in a more relatable, approachable manner. Children feel confident and less intimidated when needing assistance.

Keeping Packages Safe During the Holiday Season.
Residents are reminded throughout the year to maintain a close watch with online deliveries by monitoring delivery schedules. Consider the following to prevent theft from occurring in your neighborhood.
- Select deliveries on a date and time when one can accept delivery.
- Ask trusted neighbor to collect any delivered pkgs.
- Choose to have delivery when not at work or have delivery made to place of employment.
- Install cameras to discourage theft. Be sure to place sign stating surveillance is present.
- Specify drop off pkg out of site from street view
- Use Hub Locker
- If working from home keep an eye out for usual vehicles following delivery vehicles and offer to collect pkgs for a neighbor when possible.

Gloomy Weather Didn't Dampen Spirits during October Fall Festival Events
It would have taken a lot more than threat of rain to keep families away from several fall festivals held locally in north Fort Worth. North Division police officers and volunteers greeted children with police giveaways, provided patrol vehicle demonstrations, free bikes, free bike helmets and even a chance to have their picture taken with McGruff the Crime Dog. Fort Worth Police Department North Division would like to thank Schluter Elementary School and Christ's Haven for Children for the opportunity to partnership with them at their annual fall festivities.
