Friends and Neighbors,
March always feels like a fresh start. The days get longer, the weather warms up, and it’s a reminder that small efforts add up to something bigger.
First, a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the District 11 Town Hall on February 22. It was great to connect - not just to hear about the challenges and concerns in our community, but also to listen to your ideas, dreams, and hopes for the future. Your voices matter, and we appreciate every conversation.
This month, we’re also celebrating the neighborhoods that make District 11 stronger. At the Neighborhood Awards on March 1, we got to see firsthand the dedication, time, and energy our communities put into making life better for everyone. Whether it’s through local projects, events, or just neighbors looking out for each other, that work matters—and it’s inspiring to see.
Later this month, we’ll have another opportunity to make an impact at the Cowtown Cleanup on March 29—a chance to come together and take care of the spaces we share.
Inside this newsletter, you’ll find a recap of the awards, details on upcoming events, and ways to stay involved. However you show up for your city, just know that it all counts!

Marzo siempre se siente como un nuevo comienzo. Los días se alargan, el clima se calienta, y es un recordatorio de que los pequeños esfuerzos pueden sumar algo más grande.
Primero, un enorme agradecimiento a todos los que asistieron al Foro Comunitario del Distrito 11 el 22 de febrero.   FAIRHAVEN NEIGHBORHOOD SELECTED FOR 2025 NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
The Fairhaven neighborhood, located in Districts 11 and 5, has been selected for Fort Worth’s 2025 Neighborhood Improvement Program with $4.2 million in funding. This investment, shaped by local input, will support projects aimed at improving safety, cleanliness, and public spaces while uplifting the community. Enhancements may include park upgrades, street improvements, and community initiatives focused on neighborhood pride and engagement.

School Break Camps are offered at local community centers during most Fort Worth ISD holidays. Children ages 5 - 13 participate in a variety of activities including arts, crafts, sports, computers, games, field trips and special events.

Participants can choose to clean up at designated hub sites or select their own public areas. Free supplies and t-shirts are provided to registered volunteers. Plans are underway for street improvements to fourteen streets located in the Greater Como and Rosemont areas.
