WEEKEND CLOSURES
9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2025 through 5 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8, 2025
WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will require closures for bridge construction:
- Westbound (WB) Loop 1604 exit ramp to the WB Loop 1604 frontage road before the interchange
- Eastbound (EB) and WB Loop 1604 mainlanes right lane closed at the interchange
- EB and WB Loop 1604 frontage road at the interchange
- EB and WB I-10 mainlanes at the interchange
- WB I-10 frontage road from the entrance ramp north of the interchange to La Cantera Parkway*
- WB I-10 exit ramp to La Cantera Parkway*
This weekend closure is expected from 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2025 through 5 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, weather permitting. Law enforcement will direct traffic through intersections during this time, as needed. Please follow detour signage.
*Friday night only closure from 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, until 12 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025.
DETOUR INFORMATION:
EB Loop 1604 Frontage Road
Drivers on the EB Loop 1604 frontage road looking to continue through the I-10 interchange will keep right to enter the EB I-10 frontage road. They will follow it to the U-turn at UTSA Boulevard, entering the WB I-10 frontage road. Drivers will keep right to re-enter the EB Loop 1604 frontage road.
WB Loop 1604 Frontage Road
Drivers on the WB Loop 1604 frontage road looking to continue through the I-10 interchange will keep right to enter the WB I-10 frontage road. They will enter the WB I-10 mainlanes and then exit via the Camp Bullis Road exit ramp, keeping left to access the U-turn at Camp Bullis Road, entering the EB I-10 frontage road. Drivers will keep right to re-enter the WB Loop 1604 frontage road.
WB Loop 1604 Mainlanes
Drivers on the WB Loop 1604 mainlanes looking to access WB I-10 will exit to the WB Loop 1604 frontage road via the Lockhill Selma Road exit ramp. Drivers will keep right onto the WB I-10 frontage road and may enter the WB I-10 mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp.
EB I-10 Mainlanes
Drivers on the EB I-10 mainlanes looking to continue through the Loop 1604 interchange will follow signs to WB Loop 1604 and use the flyover ramp to enter the WB Loop 1604 mainlanes. They will exit to Kyle Seale Parkway, use the turnaround, and enter the EB Loop 1604 frontage road. Drivers will enter the EB Loop 1604 mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp and follow signs to EB I-10 to re-enter the EB I-10 mainlanes.
WB I-10 Mainlanes and Frontage Road
Drivers on the WB I-10 mainlanes looking to continue through the Loop 1604 interchange will exit to the WB I-10 frontage road via Exit 556 B and follow the WB I-10 frontage road through the Loop 1604 interchange. Drivers may re-enter the WB I-10 mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp. Drivers on the WB I-10 frontage road will enter the WB I-10 mainlanes via the entrance ramp before La Cantera Parkway and re-enter the WB I-10 frontage road via the Camp Bullis Road exit ramp. Those looking to access La Cantera Parkway will use the U-turn at Camp Bullis Road, entering the EB I-10 frontage road and may turn right or left onto La Cantera Parkway. The La Cantera Parkway intersection will remain open.
