 Segment 1 | SH 16 (Bandera Rd.) to I-10
WEEKEND CLOSURES: 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2025 until 5 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025
WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will require a closure for pavement work:
- Loop 1604 westbound (WB) to eastbound (EB) turnaround at Bandera Road
- Bandera Road southbound (SB) to Loop 1604 EB frontage road
- Loop 1604 EB frontage road left lane from Bandera Road to Quincey Lee Drive
This weekend closure is expected from 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2025 until 5 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025, weather permitting.
DETOUR INFORMATION
Loop 1604 WB to EB
Traffic traveling on the Loop 1604 WB frontage road looking access Loop 1604 EB at Bandera Road will continue through the Bandera Road intersection and follow the Loop 1604 WB frontage road to the turnaround at Braun Road to enter the Loop 1604 EB frontage road. They may follow the Loop 1604 EB frontage road back to Bandera Road.
Bandera Road SB to Loop 1604 EB
Traffic traveling on Bandera Road SB looking to access Loop 1604 EB will turn right onto the Loop 1604 WB frontage road and use the turnaround at Braun Road to enter the Loop 1604 EB frontage road.
All closures are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Segment 2 | Loop 1604 & I-10 Interchange
WEEKEND NIGHTLY CLOSURES: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2025 through Monday, Sept. 29, 2025
WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will require closures for bridge construction:
- Loop 1604 eastbound (EB) mainlanes from the Chase Hill Boulevard exit ramp to the La Cantera Parkway entrance ramp
- Loop 1604 EB mainlanes right lane at the I-10 interchange
- Loop 1604 EB frontage road east of the I-10 interchange
- Loop 1604 westbound (WB) frontage road at the I-10 interchange
- I-10 EB and WB mainlanes (one lane to remain open in each direction) at the Loop 1604 interchange
- I-10 EB frontage road from Via La Cantera to Loop 1604
- I-10 EB to Loop 1604 EB cloverleaf
This weekend nightly closure is expected from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2025 through Monday, Sept. 29, 2025, weather permitting. Law enforcement will direct traffic through intersections during this time, as needed. Please follow detour signage.
DETOUR INFORMATION
Loop 1604 EB Mainlanes and Frontage Road
Travelers on the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes will exit via the Chase Hill Boulevard exit ramp to the Loop 1604 EB frontage road. Travelers may re-enter the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes via the entrance ramp east of La Cantera Parkway. Travelers on the Loop 1604 frontage road looking to continue through the I-10 interchange will keep right, entering the I-10 EB frontage road and follow it to the turnaround at UTSA Boulevard, entering the I-10 WB frontage road. Travelers will turn right onto Landmark Parkway then left onto Interplace Road. Travelers will then turn right to re-enter the Loop 1604 EB frontage road.
Loop 1604 WB Frontage Road and I-10 EB Frontage Road
Travelers on the Loop 1604 WB frontage road looking to continue through the I-10 interchange will keep right, entering the I-10 WB frontage road and follow it to the turnaround at La Cantera Parkway, entering the I-10 EB frontage road. Travelers will then turn right onto Via La Cantera and follow it to the Loop 1604 WB frontage road. Travelers will be able to enter the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp. Travelers looking to return to the I-10 EB frontage road will use the turnaround from Loop 1604 WB to EB at La Cantera Parkway and follow the Loop 1604 EB frontage road back to the I-10 EB frontage road.

WEEKEND DAYTIME CLOSURES: 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025 and Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025
