Loop 1604 North Expansion Project

Closure Notice

PERMANENT CLOSURE

Beginning Monday, Aug. 18. 2025

This closure is required to complete construction on new flyover ramps.

WHAT TO EXPECT

As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will require the permanent closure of:

I-10 eastbound (EB) exit ramp to UTSA Boulevard

This permanent closure is expected to begin on Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, weather permitting. Please follow detour signage.

DETOUR INFORMATION

I-10 EB to UTSA Boulevard (Option 1)

All travelers on the I-10 EB mainlanes north of the Loop 1604 interchange looking to access UTSA Boulevard may exit via Exit 556 B to the I-10 EB frontage road. Travelers will follow the I-10 EB frontage road through the Loop 1604 interchange, then turn onto UTSA Boulevard.

I-10 EB to UTSA Boulevard (Option 2)

All travelers on the I-10 EB mainlanes south of the Loop 1604 interchange looking to access UTSA Boulevard may exit via Exit 558 to the I-10 EB frontage road. Travelers will use the turnaround at De Zavala Road, entering the I-10 westbound frontage road. Travelers may then turn onto UTSA Boulevard.
