I-35 NEX Lane Closure Notice
WEEKEND CLOSURES

 WHAT TO EXPECT:
As part of the I-35 Northeast Expansion (NEX) Project, TxDOT will close the Evans Road intersection and the northbound to southbound turnaround at I-35 for drainage work from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, 2025, to 5 a.m. Monday, March 3, 2025. Traffic should follow detour signs.
DETOUR INFORMATION:
To Northbound I-35, Westbound Evans Road, Corporate Drive
All westbound Evans Road traffic at I-35 will turn right to enter the southbound I-35 frontage road. Follow the northbound I-35 sign and turn right to use the Olympia Parkway bridge to access the northbound I-35 frontage road. Use the next entrance ramp to enter northbound I-35 mainlanes. Continue north on the frontage road to Evans Road or Corporate Drive/FM 1518.
To Southbound I-35, Eastbound Evans Road
All eastbound Evans Road traffic at I-35 will turn right towards Corporate Drive/FM 1518. At the Corporate Drive/FM 1518 intersection, turn left towards the southbound I-35 frontage road. Turn left and head south to Evans Road. Use the next entrance ramp to enter southbound I-35 mainlanes.
 WHAT TO EXPECT:
TxDOT will close the northbound I-35 mainlanes from Walzem Road to I-410 interchange for lane striping from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28, 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. Saturday, March 1 and 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, March 2, 2025. Traffic should follow detour signs.
DETOUR INFORMATION:
All traffic on northbound I-35 mainlanes will use the Randolph Boulevard, Thousand Oaks Drive, Starlight Terrace exit, Exit 166A, to access the northbound I-35 frontage road. Traffic will then stay on the northbound I-35 frontage road and use the next entrance ramp to return to the northbound I-35 mainlanes.
Note: All closures are weather permitting and subject to change.
