I-10 Eastbound Frontage Road South of Loop 1604
 WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will be closing the I-10 eastbound (EB) frontage road just south of Loop 1604. Traffic will be unable to use this portion of the I-10 EB frontage road during this closure, however, they can gain access to businesses adjacent to the frontage road closure by using the back entry on Old Fredricksburg Road.
This long-term closure will begin Monday, Feb. 17, 2025 and last until late spring 2025, weather permitting.
DETOUR INFORMATION
I-10 EB Frontage Road
All travelers on the I-10 EB frontage road traffic looking to continue through the Loop 1604 interchange will be directed to travel on the Loop 1604 westbound (WB) frontage road to the signalized turnaround at La Cantera Parkway. Traffic will then enter the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes after La Cantera Parkway. Traffic will follow the exit toward I-10 and stay in the right lane to enter I-10 EB. Traffic will then exit using exit 557 toward UTSA Boulevard to enter the I-10 EB frontage road. Signage will be placed along detour route to direct traffic.
Loop 1604 EB Frontage Road to I-10 EB Frontage Road
All travelers on the Loop 1604 EB frontage road looking to access I-10 EB frontage road will be directed to enter the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes after La Cantera Parkway. Traffic will follow the exit toward I-10 and stay in the right lane to enter I-10 EB. Traffic will then exit utilizing exit 557 toward UTSA Boulevard to enter the I-10 EB frontage road. Signage will be placed along detour route to direct traffic.
Business Access
All travelers looking to gain access to the businesses along the I-10 EB frontage road, south of Loop 1604 will travel along the Loop 1604 EB frontage road and make a right turn onto Old Fredericksburg Road, just ahead of the I-10 EB frontage road.
The Loop 1604 EB frontage road under the I-10 interchange will remain open during this closure.
