 WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will require a closure of the I-10 westbound (WB) bypass lane and the cloverleaf from I-10 WB to Loop 1604 WB for bridge construction.
The closures are expected from 11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2025 through 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2025, weather permitting. Please note these are the minimum closures required for the anticipated work. All closures are subject to change and modification as necessary. Law enforcement will direct traffic through intersections during this time, as needed.
DETOUR INFORMATION
I-10 WB to Loop 1604 WB
All travelers on I-10 WB looking to access Loop 1604 WB will exit via Exit 556 B onto the I-10 WB frontage road. Travelers will continue on the I-10 WB frontage road to the Loop 1604 interchange, turning left onto the Loop 1604 WB frontage road. They may enter the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp.

Travelers will continue on the I-10 WB frontage road to the Loop 1604 interchange, turning left onto the Loop 1604 WB frontage road. They may enter the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp.
Loop 1604 WB and to I-10 EB
All travelers on Loop 1604 WB will exit via the I-10 exit to the Loop 1604 WB frontage road. Those looking to continue on Loop 1604 WB will travel through the I-10 interchange an re-enter the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp. Those looking to access I-10 EB will turn left onto the I-10 EB frontage road and enter the I-10 EB mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp.
Loop 1604 EB Mainlanes
Traffic traveling on the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes will exit at the Vance Jackson Road exit ramp and continue on the Loop 1604 EB frontage road. Traffic will be able to re-enter highway at the Lockhill Selma Road entrance ramp.
I-10 WB to Loop 1604 EB
Traffic traveling westbound on I-10 will take the frontage road exit ramp (just north of UTSA Boulevard) and continue on the frontage road to Loop 1604 EB frontage road. Traffic will be able to enter the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes using the Lockhill Selma Road entrance ramp.
I-10 EB to Loop 1604 EB
Traffic traveling EB on I-10 will take the frontage road exit ramp (just south of La Cantera Parkway) and continue on the frontage road to Loop 1604 EB frontage road. Traffic will be able enter the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes using the Lockhill Selma Road entrance ramp.
